All Hands In

How everyone can help.

We are proud to offer our Pro Bono Occupational Therapy programme as one of our services. We offer Pro bono Occupational Therapy services because to us, this work holds deeper meaning when it’s done unconditionally. Our mission is rooted in genuine care and the belief that every child deserves the support they need without financial barriers.  We ask families only to contribute towards basic expenses such as transportation for the therapists and therapy materials, with full transparency through receipts. For insight into the financial burdens many parents face, we encourage you to read this article from The Straits Times: Long wait times for early intervention push parents of kids with developmental needs to private sector.

The Pro Bono Occupational Therapy Programme is sustained through a portion of the revenue generated from our other paid services including Occupational Therapy, School Therapy Support, the Outdoor Social Fitness Sessions and the Play & Engage for Kids with Autism Sessions.

In addition, we provide talks and workshops for schools, companies, and organizations dedicated to fostering inclusion. The revenue from these talks, which focus on spreading awareness and inclusive practices, also helps fund and sustain our Pro Bono Occupational Therapy Programme. We are not asking for donations—simply by supporting our paid services or purchasing our products, you are helping sustain our commitment to provide Pro Bono Occupational Therapy to children, removing the financial barriers that might otherwise prevent them from receiving the support they need.

We are also asking for your hearts, minds, and passion to help families with children who have special needs. Many parents are paying exorbitant amounts without receiving the right support, and this has to change. We urge you to read this article from The Straits Times on the challenges parents face: Clutching at straws: Parents of children with special needs navigate uneven therapy practices.

To truly make a difference, here are some essential actions we need to take to ensure that children receive the support they deserve:

  1. Provide free therapy for all children who need essential developmental support.

  2. Establish a code of ethics for therapy providers, including:

    • Compulsory clear treatment plans.

    • Reliance on evidence-based methods.

    • Effective collaboration with families and schools, ensuring clear discharge plans rather than prolonged clinic stays.

If you are passionate about advocating for these changes and want to collaborate with us, please reach out. We are eager to work together, especially with those who can help elevate these discussions on both national and global platforms. Let’s join together to make a meaningful impact.
